Austin, Texas - Remote Operations announces the ROITECH™ program for the ARRA’s Electronic Health Record incentive program
Remote Operations, Inc. (ROI) announced today they have recently released an incentive program that helps hospital qualify for the $20BB Health Information Technology for Economic and Clinical Health (HITECH) program to help implement Electronic Medical Records. This program is part of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.
The newly created ROITECH™ program allows qualifying clients of Remote Operations to receive both ROI HL7 interfaces at no charge and rebates on EMR vendor HL7 interfaces which effectively eliminate the cost. The ROITECH™ program incents hospitals to move quickly to qualify by the 2010 deadline.
Gaurav Singla, CEO of Remote Operations stated “We have seen HL7 interface projects costing hospitals up to $50,000. The ROITECH™ program is our way to help hospitals and clinics save these thousands of dollars. It also helps them qualify for the ARRA, where they may see as much as $6MM over a 5 year period.”
The ARRA has allocated $20BB to promote the usage of electronic health records (EHR). Hospital’s with EHR in place by fiscal year 2011 (October 2010) are eligible for the full amount of incentive payments. Here is an example calculation of incentive payments for the ARRA.
