NEWS RELEASE
Date: 3/6/2007
Austin, Texas - Remote Operations releases support for MedQuist™ Protégé™ handheld recorder
Remote Operations, Inc. (ROI) announced today that they have released support for the MedQuist™ Protégé™ handheld recorder. Many MedQuist clients that purchased the Protégé handheld recorder can now utilize the Remote Operations SecureFlow Pro™ system without having to purchase new equipment. This support reduces the change that physicians would typically face when switching providers. Coupled with the SecureFlow Pro SureCount™ electronic line counting system, ROI clients are guaranteed accurate line counts that adhere to the medical transcription industry’s AAMT standard.
The Protégé ™ is a digital recorder device that provides physicians with the ability to quickly and accurately dictate patient clinical reports and notes. The oversized backlit display makes the unit easy to read. The interchangeable MultiMedia or SecureDigital cards provide virtually unlimited recording time.
Gaurav Singla, President and CEO of ROI, commented today, "Remote Operations' is proud to offer MedQuist clients a choice when selecting a new transcription provider. We have heavily invested in our technology to make the transition to Remote Operations as easy as possible."
ROI uses proprietary technology (SecureFlow Pro™) to seamlessly integrate into existing electronic medical records systems (EMR) and radiology information systems (RIS) and now Protégé handheld recorders, providing clients with convenience, security and flexibility unrivaled in the marketplace today. Remote Operations' robust and secure platform supports current medical transcriptionists within client facilities, while providing convenient and cost-effective options for direct transcription and secure overflow that insure turnaround times and accuracy levels are met. This protects the economic interests of ROI clients and provides enhanced safety and security for their sensitive patient health information.
